How does ReCOGnAIze™ fit into a standard consultation?

The assessment takes 15 minutes and runs on a tablet. Most clinicians administer it while the patient is waiting, or as part of a dedicated health screening slot. No additional equipment or specialist training is required.

What does ReCOGnAIze™ actually measure?

ReCOGnAIze™ assesses cognitive domains affected by vascular cognitive impairment — including attention, processing speed, and executive function. Results are delivered as a structured report with a risk indicator, which the clinician reviews and discusses with the patient.

Is ReCOGnAIze™ clinically validated?

Yes. ReCOGnAIze™ was validated in a peer-reviewed study published in Alzheimer's & Dementia (2026), demonstrating an AUC of 0.90 for detection of vascular cognitive impairment. The study was conducted through NTU's Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Which patients should I screen with ReCOGnAIze™?

It is designed for patients over 50 with one or more vascular risk factors — hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, or a prior cardiovascular event. It is also appropriate for patients or family members who have raised concerns about cognitive changes, and for women in the perimenopausal years with vascular risk overlap.
